AC:DM Official Site Brand new for 2002 - an official Asheron's Call Dark Majesty site brought to us by the developers, Turbine Entertainment. Highlights include the official Q&A database, almost live (one month behind) compendium of all things in Dereth, game lore and much more. Best feature: Offical news and information from Turbine! Asheron's Call @ the Gaming Zone This is the main page for playing Asheron's Call (AC) and getting AC related information directly from the publishers ( Microsoft ) and developers ( Turbine Entertainment ). New players are advised to read the various sections on "What is Asheron's Call", "Getting Started", "Handbook" and "Asheron's Lore". The "Allegiance Hall" lists a variety of allegiance and guilds and the "Related Links" section has a long list of game related web sites. This is also a good place to get game downloads (like all the updates from 1999 to a recent month in one big .zip file!) and access the game via the various game worlds (in the event the quick launch feature doesn't work). Occasionally, the "News & Events" section is useful, especially the news part as it contains articles on the state of the network, code, game events, and notes from the developers. Best feature: Play AC here! Crossroads of Dereth One of the best sources of AC related information and intelligent discussions returns. Best feature: Depth of information AC Tips A huge database of links to everything anyone might ever want to know about AC and actually find on the Internet. The site has experienced some technical issues and isn't always available or fast. Best feature: Links to almost everything AC related AC Vault News, guides, information & message boards Best feature: One of the most most popular sites Maggie the Jackcat's Fabulous AC Guide! A unique collection of AC related hints, tips, spoilers and information. This biggest challenge is figuring out what section will have the information you want to find today. Best feature: Great information plus some of the strangest things you might never have wanted to know and aren't sure you should have asked. |

at Dereth.net This site offers free email for AC players. Get your charactername@dereth.net address here! The email comes with 6MB of storage at the price of banner ads and some popups. The site has related message boards that are extremely silent. Best feature: A free dereth.net address |
| Useful Programs |
| AC
Explorer A nice program that gives you a map of Dereth and access to a huge database of locations. Users can add data to their version of the database locally, or add/update entries in the main AC-Spedia database (link on site). For most, the free version will be sufficient, but the commercial version is quite reasonably priced. The advent of random portal spawns did mess up the route finding process, as such portals only exist for a short time and often never appear again. Best feature: You can download new data that others input Splitpea - The Taper Program A program for any mage tired of testing the taper combinations to learn a new spell. You input the basics of what spells you know and the program narrows down the taper possibilities for spells you don't know (sometimes to a single taper). It also useful if you just want the base formulas for spells. Some spells aren't included as they can't be learned through normal research. Get the latest version. Best feature: It makes magic research less tedious AC Essentials Simply a good list of useful AC related programs and sites. Best feature: One stop list of goodies |
